NaNoWriMo Week 4

I’m standing on the edge of Day 30 and what a ride this has been. Although I’m quite delusional I’m also right on the brink of 50k and that’s about as real as it gets.

Thank you, Ryan.

Some updates:

1. Word Wars 6 and 7

@Woodsay1121 beat me by a mere few hundred words in Word War 6 so we wage on. Word War 7 will end tomorrow at the stroke of midnight (local time). Although there isn’t much road left on the way to 50K, I’m shocked to say the closer I get the more I realize I’ll need more than that to do justice to my story. Personally, I’m aiming realistically to be done writing and preliminary editing by February.

2. Swag

I’m well within striking distance of winning, so I’ve bit the bullet and purchased a t-shirt. Behold!

Granted, this version doesn’t say ‘winner’ on it but subtlety is an undervalued virtue…or something. I like that it’s blue.

3. Did I mention winning?

Because I’m about to win.

Although this post is short and sweet as I prepare for tomorrow, fear not – I will be back next Thursday when the dust clears. Hopefully a week of recovery will allow me to reflect and I’ll give a wonderful summary of this adventure.

Until then – there’s still one more day and one more night.
